I think this picture can pretty much sum up why "Fatal Attraction" was the theatrical event of the summer, no? Posted by Picasa

Get On The Bus

Can anyone tell me what "Oprah's Wildest Dream Bus" is? I'm beyond fascinated. Like, I kind of want to make a low budget indie horror movie about people getting on "Oprah's Wildest Dream Bus," only their wildest dreams turn out to be, you know, not what they bargained for. Like a Steven King novel. And then at the end, Oprah gets on her own "Oprah's Wildest Dream Bus." What should she get- Ham? More power? Same thing?

I am the WORST blogger ever

Um, def forgot I even had a blog. I'm horrible. Sorry Kids. Shout out to the Red Sox biggest fan Alex(a) (yes, she has 2 names) for reminding me of my duties. The following things have happened since last I blogged:
  • Kevin and I went to Europe. Highlights included: Paris's biggest gay discoteque, rowing a boat on a lake in the middle of Versailles, paddling a boat in Lake Geneva, "Billy Elliot" the musical in London, (which includes a number entitled "Merry Christmas Maggie Thatcher"), french cheese in general, a euro-snackfood known as "monstermash", convincing a drunk man Kevin and I were husband and wife, constantly boarding cross-country trains filled with babies, abusing mike in general, spending fifty euros in the bar car of the Eurostar, and last, but most def. not least : seeing Kevin's face at the top of the Eiffel tower.
  • I got to see Fatal Attraction: A Greek Trajedy not once, but twice. Kate Wilkinson and Alana McNair and evil geniouses in the manner of Wylie Coyote. My love for their theatrical masterpiece is endless. Here's hoping for a revival.
  • I went to Provincetown. If you live in New York: put Christopher St. on water and make everyone more tan. If you live in DC: put Dupont on water and make everyone more more tan. Add approx 100,000 dogs, many in hats and costumes.
  • The Capitol Lounge burnt down. Please offer your condolences to this Hill institution. Pity the people who have to spend their hard on money on beers in the caverns of the Hawk& Dove from now on.
  • Mike and Laura become Lord and Lady of the Manor on R st. Seriously, its the largest most posh apartment I've ever seen. I've reserved the right to become their unwanted guest on a frequent basis
  • Um....Crazy ass hurricane. It better not interfere with my ability to get to Montauk on Friday. I neeeed to sit on the beach and eat Mr. John's pancake house. stat. I'd like to point out that The Daily News actually used the headline "KATRINA AND THE WAVES" Amazing.

Diagnosis: Liza

Michael Jackson and Lindsay Lohan have nothing on me. They can feign illness all they like to avoid molestation trials, concert dates, movie premieres, etc. BUT I AM THE REAL THING, having caught "the vapors" on the subway yesterday while headed to work. Yes, the ever-reliable author of this fine blog collapsed on the N/R platform -and- on the train itself. After a short stint in the emergency room, the official verdict was (well, a virus, but as a result of said virus...) DEHYDRATION AND VERTIGO. I'm Liza!! I'm Liza!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a glamorous Monday, to say nothing on lying on the couch and watching Juliette Prowse in "The Muppet Show." YOWZA.

Whoops- Almost forgot... Because I KNOW she's reading this.

Happy Birthday, Madonna.

bo do do da

The authors of the blog went to Europe, had a ball, came home like a week ago, and haven't written a damn thing since. I'd considered not even mentioning Paris/Geneva/London, but that seemed too cruel. Anyway, it was THE BEST.

That's all. XOXO
