TWO RANDOM THOUGHTS for August 29th, by Kevin.

1. If I ever have enough cash that I can leave $12 million to my dog, I'll know that my life has worked OK.

2. Sending Katie Couric to Iraq is the best birthday present I could have ever gotten (albeit 12 days late).

While we're on the subject...

I have some random thoughts of my own.

1. Obesity is apparently not an obstacle to love- because the world's heavist man (weighing in a mere 1,330 pounds) has a girlfriend. That's right- a man who is bedridden and weighs as much as an elephant has found love. Meanwhile, I'm debating owning a cat. Good Times. Speaking of obesity, is everyone aware there is a show entitled FAT MARCH? They are literally marching the obese across America. Trail of tears, trail of Snickers. Let's hope no one gets small pox.

2. I've decided on a color scheme for the new apartment and my living room is going to be a shade of blue entitled "Seaside Resort". Tropical breezes in Brooklyn anyone?

3. My mother recently accused me of having the same haircut as Katie Holmes. We consulted USweekly whilst having pedicures- and she is right. Disgusting.

4. Today Katie McFabulous turns 26 years young. CHEERS! -Leighthal

TWO RANDOM THOUGHTS for August 28th, by Kevin.

1. I think I'd love nothing more than to testify in a criminal trial. For the defense, for the prosecution- Doesn't matter. I think I'd just love to do it.

2. Peanut butter is a miracle.

Ciao-
KEVIN.

TWO RANDOM THOUGHTS for August 27th, by Kevin.

1. I've spent the past two weeks really trying- like, hardcore- to learn how to use Facebook, and I can't even tell you how antagonized I am by it's un-user-friendly ways. It's like sudoku; it's a trick that everyone is playing on me, Truman Show-style, to make me feel stupid.

2. Meredith Baxter Birney is kind of sometimes a really great actress.

Back to eating corn.

Attn: Denizens of Garden City, NY

PLEASE look at this. In the grand tradition of my phone ringing 18 times in three minutes when Graziella was on Rosie- Another Alum of the GCHS has found fame. No, not in the arms of Will Smith;but as a local news anchor (In Texas?) and reality TV Star.
Someone certainly lost their Long Island accent....
"The Legend Of Annalisa Petralia"
Special thanks to our eagle-eyed field correspondent Joe; for bringing this to everyone's attention.

A Matchbox of My Own...

So, as Kevin hinted- I have signed a lease. As of September, I'm on my own! Having never lived on my own before I have some general concerns. Will I like it? Will I be lonely? Will I still want to watch all of those SVU reruns? All in all, I am very excited! The apartment is lovely. The bad news is: I am not allowed to have a dog. Due the insanity of the rental market, I gave up on finding a pet friendly apartment. This, dear readers, leaves me with quite the conundrum. Do I ignore my desire for furry companionship and get some fish? Or, do I go against everything I stand for and attempt to love...
a cat? As many of you know, I have been in charge of a cat all summer, and despite the fact that it goes against every fiber in my being, I'm kind of attached to the little furball. To me, owning a cat as a single woman makes me one step away from decorating in the style of Laura Ashley and taping Cathy cartoons to the fridge. But I want a pet! Could I learn to love...one of these?

Finally, Kevin gets some love from the Paper of Record!

In today's Gray Lady, Abigail Zuger looks at the anatomy, cultural relevence, and biological necessity of SWEATING! Yes! Finally! Someone is giving props to what I can't help doing all summer! Wahoooooooooo!

(Ironically, it's a really nice day here in NY today. Like, super nice.)

Endorsements of the day...
Wanna see a great show?
Wanna read a great book?

It's my birthday this weekend. UGH.

Aging,
Kevin.

PS- Leigh has some crazy exciting news, but I'll let her share that on her own!!

Billable Calories, et al.

Hey crew- Kevin here. I haven't posted on this blog in so long that I just needed to pause and remember what the password was. My brain is silly. So yeah, it's been a while, and I hope you're all well and as gorgeous as I remember. Given my long absence, I was going to post a lengthy, well-considered post about life and all the intricacies of what's been going on over the past few weeks. But my good friend Nick just reminded me of the existance of the early 90s gem Parker Lewis Can't Lose, so now I'm a little nostaligia-dizzy and I think I need to lay down.

But here are some random collected thoughts.

- Bridges are scary places.
- I amazed myself earlier this week by being able to find Zambia on a map.
- Entourage is excellent.
- I hope everyone watches the Gay Debates on LOGO this Thursday.
- If I were a drag queen, I would be a pregnant, suburban drag queen named Gloria. Or maybe "Victoria Falls." (See, it all comes back to Zambia.)
- Mia Farrow is the greatest. Ever.
- Michelle Pfeiffer has more beauty in her under-eye satchels that 90% of human beings have, ever.
- Things I love most this week: pools, not eating meat, and Kevin Dillon.
- Things I hate most this week: the new layout of the Pathmark on Atlantic Ave, my birthday, and John Travolta.

xoxo KEVIN.
